Western Cape Health officials on Tuesday said while there has been isolated protests at Tygerberg and Groote Schuur Hospitals, the province has been largely unaffected by the lab strike.
About 2,000 employees who are responsible for pathology and diagnostic tests downed tools this week.
The group had been in wage talks with the National Health Laboratory Services.
Strikers are demanding a nine percent increase and a R2,300 medical aid benefit.
