Selfmed controls its own administration and call centre (better known as the "Excellence Centre"). Through this model, Selfmed takes total ownership of all member interaction and can address any administrative problems or complaints from members immediately and satisfactorily.

In a traditional medical aid / administrator environment, all administrative functions rest with an administrator. As such, a medical aid would be fully dependent on its administrator to inform it of any problems or complaints received from members.
