Registering for Secure Services Authentication (SSA):
Step 1: Go to the following link: https://secure.ssa.oldmutual.co.za
Step 2: Click on Register and complete the registration process. On completion, you will be assigned an 8-digit SSA (Secure Services Authentication) user number, which will be presented to you on the screen. In addition, a temporary PIN will be emailed to you immediately.
Step 3: Log in to SSA (https://secure.ssa.oldmutual.co.za). You will be prompted to change your temporary PIN. Please enter a 5-digit numeric PIN.
Apply for access to the Secure site
Step 1: Log in to SSA using your new 8-digit numeric user number and 5-digit numeric PIN (https://secure.ssa.oldmutual.co.za) and select "Healthcare Member" under the "Client Services" tab.
Step 2: If you registered using an RSA ID, please select the verification option that is applicable to you, on the Secure Services verification page. If you entered a non-RSA ID, you will receive email instructions on the process you need to follow.
Step 3: Enter your Selfmed membership number and submit.
Once your application has been authorised by the administrator, you will receive an activation code via email, which must be used to activate your account. It will take approximately 3 to 5 working days to receive your activation code. Upon successful activation, you will be given access to the secure website.
