1. Do I have a co-payment on my medicine, materials and procedures?
No co-payments may apply where active treatment is managed as part of the oncology programme.
2. Are benefits limited?
Yes, benefits are managed within an overall oncology limit. This limit may be exceeded if treatment is approved for a PMB condition.
3. Do we manage Intravenous and Oral cancer medicine?
Yes, all chemotherapy, hormone inhibitors and Immunotherapy are managed and need prior authorisation.
4. Do we manage radiotherapy?
Yes, all radiotherapy, subject to prior authorisation.
5. Is all medicine for the side effects covered?
No. This is subject to the Oncology Case Manager. If it is not covered under chronic it can still be claimed from the acute benefit where applicable.
6. Is it compulsory to register on the Oncology Programme?
Yes, to access insured benefits and to ensure that your benefits are managed throughout your treatment, you have to register on the Programme.
7. How do I register on the Programme?
A treatment plan from your treating oncologist must be completed and returned to the Oncology Case Manager.
